Guled Foundation
Guled Foundation offers a free education in Somalia by giving children from the poorest families a free high-quality education.
It was established to promote education and to reduce illiteracy in Somalia. Guled Foundation has been serving Somali children who don’t have access to free high-quality education since 2021. Education is the best way to combat poverty, crime, and inequality. Therefore, our work is dedicated to offering a free high-quality education to orphans, disabled, and other children from the poorest families who can’t afford to send their children to school in Somalia.

Our Programs
BUILDING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL
Guled Foundation focuses on building the foundation for high-quality education by building Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math focused schools in Somalia.
EDUCATIONAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
To overcome the financial barriers to education, the Guled Foundation offers an educational sponsorship program to children from the poorest families in Somalia including orphans and disabled children.
ACCESS TO EDUCATION
The foundation works towards increasing access to quality education for all children in Somalia, especially those from marginalized communities. In addition to that, girls’ education is given a special emphasis.
SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR DISABLED STUDENTS
Guled Foundation is committed to providing an equal education to all children from the poorest families in Somalia. The foundation believes that disabled children deserve quality education to have a better future.
EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
The foundation recognizes the importance of early childhood education to direct children to learning and from violence.Therefore, we offer our free education to kids as young as four years old. We support programs that focus on early childhood education.
LITERACY AND NUMERACY PROGRAMS
According to the World Bank, the most recent report which was 2022 indicates Somalia’s literacy rate at 41%. It’s among the lowest literacy rate countries in the world. That’s why Guled Foundation is solely focusing on education.
